FAQs

How do I book?

Please see the contact form on this website to create your booking. Additionally, you can contact me at: [email protected]. If you are inquiring about a specific shoot, please provide as much detail as possible. I do not accept bookings via text or direct messaging on social media platforms.

Can I pick the location?

I'm an outdoor natural light photographer, and when I plan a shoot for my clients, I want to have control over the composition and light. I want to know where the light is at that time of day, to make my photos look as light and dreamy as possible for my clients. For that reason, I don't prefer to allow my clients to pick the location, such as their house or a park by their house. I will however, offer a list of locations that I have already scouted that my clients can choose from. The only exception for this, is of course weddings, elopements and events. In these cases, I will attend the venue far before our shoot to ensure we shoot at the best spots the venue has to offer.

Will I be able to obtain RAW files?

No, this goes against my policy. Good photographers treat photography like a work of art, and that includes their unique editing style. I would never outsource my editing, and all images are not to be passed along for outside edits. Once you book with me, a contract will be sent out for you to read over, which goes over my RAW image policy. Your images will come to you in an edited Hi-Res format.

How do I confirm my session?

Dates are only held with a confirmed deposit and confirmation of the contract. Without confirmation or payment, you could risk someone snagging your spot!

Will I receive edited digital files?

Of course! My turnaround time is a maximum of three weeks (excluding weddings.) You will be able to download a set amount of photos via an online digital portal. You will also have the option of purchasing prints, frames, canvas, and more to turn your photos into stunning art for your wall, and it's completley customizable. I will walk you through this process.

What is your travel fee?

I work within Calgary and surrounding areas, such as Cochrane, Okotooks, Chestermere, Kananaskis and Banff. Any Photography services outside of Calgary city limits, will incur a travel fee of $.50 per km.

What do I wear?

Choosing the right wardrobe is such an important piece in prepping for photoshoots! After the contract is confirmed, I always send my clients a copy of my style guide and access to my client closet.

Any tips for kids?

I always send out tips for the littles and try to get to know them before the photoshoot to make it as fun and relaxed as possible for them the day of. I want you to end up with not just great photos, but also great memories.

Do you offer extended family sessions?

My creative fee for families includes up to four people. Extended family photos start at $400, as it takes longer to shoot bigger groups and much longer on the editing side, so I will ensure I've got enough time to get all the wonderful combinations and group shots you want.

What about pets?

I absolutely love documenting the intimate connection with our four legged companions. Pets are always welcome at no extra charge.

Can we shoot on a cloudy day?

Of course! I always leave it to the client. We can still capture gorgeous photos, but they just won't have that signature glow that are in most of my photos. I never charge to reschedule due to weather. I always prefer shooting on a sunny day.

How long does the session take?

My sessions run up to 60 minutes.

My pet can't be off leash; can they still be photographed?

Your pet can stay on-leash for the entirety of the session. Removing the leash can be done in the editing process.

How do I prepare for my session?

If you're bringing a pet, ensure they are exercised before our session and please let me know if they have any allergies. If you're bringing kids, make sure they are well rested, and feel free to let me know a little about their personalities before our session; if they're shy or loud, and please share what they like or are into. Other than that, start thinking about where you would like to display your artwork in your home.
